Broeren, Louise (11 AUG 1945)

Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Broeren announce the marriage of their daughter, Louise, to Stuart C. Walsdorf, Radioman 1st Class, son of Louis P. Walsdorf, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). The ceremony was performed by Rev. McNeill, Chaplin on the same ship as the groom when overseas. It was held at St. Benedict’s Church, Portsmouth, R.I., at 10 o’clock on Saturday, Aug. 11, 1945.

The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Johnson.

The bride was married in a platinum colored suit with navy blue accessories. The bridesmaid was attired a a suit of canary yellow. Both wore gardenia corsages. The groom and his attendant wore their navy uniforms.

A wedding breakfast was served at the rectory of Father Buckley in Portsmouth.

The young couple were born and raised in Thorp and graduate of the Thorp schools. The groom has seen considerable service in the Navy and is now stationed in the east. Their many friends in Thorp join in extending best wishes.
