Wiesner, Anna (31 OCT 1864 - 15 MAY 1945)

Mrs. August Wiesner, 80, passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire on Tuesday, May 15, 1945, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. The body now lies in state at the Thorp Funeral Home and services will be held there at 2:00 o’clock Friday afternoon, May 18th. An obituary will be published next week.

Mrs. August Wiesner passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire, of heart trouble on May 15, 1945, after an illness of about twenty days. She had reached the age of eighty years.

Anna Kleckner was born in Bohemia on Oct. 31, 1864. She came to this country in 1880 and resided in buffalo, N.Y. until 1885. She was united in marriage to August Wiesner on Nov. 25, 1884 at Edson, Wis. They located here (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) on a farm in 1885 and in recent years have resided in the village.

She is survived by her aged husband, one son, August Wiesner Jr., and one daughter, Mrs. Lillian Nelson of Rockford, Ill., three brothers, Fred Kleckner of Duluth, Minn., Joe Kleckner, Finlayson, Minn., and Gottlieb Klackner, Chippewa Falls, Wis., three sisters, Mrs. Mary Sheblak, thorp, Theresa Banderob, Eau Claire and Sophie Krause, Duluth, Minn.; four grandchildren, Mrs. Donald Perry, Miss Betty Jane Nelson, Wm. Nelson of Rockford, Ill., and Wallace Nelson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Funeral services were held at the Thorp Funeral Home, Friday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m., rev. Jas. Irish officiating. Interment was made in the Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ed Beller, Frank Klecacky, Isaac Sisco, Joseph Kunesh, Wm. E. Barrett and Jos. Melbinger.
