               Rose and August Audorff

Audorff, Rose (2 April 1898 - 7 Dec. 1975)

Neillsville--Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Lutheran Church for Mrs. Rose Audorff, 77, Route 3, Neillsville. She died at her home Sunday.

The Rev. Ronald J. Nordin, pastor, will officiate. Burial will take place in the Butlerville Cemetery, Town of Butler.

Friends may call at the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today and until noon Wednesday, when the body will be taken to the church.

The former Rose Studnichki was born April 2, 1898, at Elroy and was educated in that area. She worked at various jobs until her marriage on Oct. 16, 1928, at Neillsville to August O. Audorff. They farmed in the Cornell and Thorp areas and later moved to Neillsville, where they operated a farm. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.

Her husband died Oct. 9, 1967.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Geneva) Smith, Augusta, Mrs. Bertha Maslanka, Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Donald (Midge) Lewandowski, Loves Park, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Schaefer, Richland Center, Mrs. Emily Pearson, Mauston, Mrs. Bessie Benson, New Lisbon, Mrs. Agnes Schnurr, Kendall, and Mrs. Knute (Marie) Huffman, Bena, Minn.; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by one sister.

Audorff, Rose (2 April 1898 – 7 December 1975)

Mrs. Rose Audorff, Rt. 2 Neillsville, died suddenly at her home on Sunday, December 7, at the age of 77. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ronald Nordin officiating. Burial was to be in the Butlerville Cemetery in the Town of Butler, rural Thorp. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Audorff, the daughter of Charles and Mary Vranty Studnichki, was born April 2, 1898, in the Elroy area and was educated in schools there. She worked at various jobs before her marriage to August O. Audorff, which took place at Neillsville. The couple farmed in the Cornell and Thorp areas and later moved to a farm in the Neillsville area.

Mrs. Audorff was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church and of its ALCW Society. Her husband preceded her in death on October 9, 1967.

She is also survived by five sisters, Mrs. Anna Schaefer of Ridgeland Center, Mrs. Emily Pearson of Mauston, Mrs. Bessie Benson of New Lisbon, Mrs. Agnes Schnurr of Kendall and Mrs. Knute (Marie) Hullman of Bena, Mn.
