Frese, Harry (1906? - 24 DEC 1944)

Word was received here this week by Mrs. John Frese of the death of her son, Pfc. Harry Frese who was killed in action in Luxemburg on Dec. 24th, 1945, during the invasion of Germany with the Third Infantry.

Pfc. Frese was 38 years of age. He had been in the service 3 ½ years and overseas for 22 months, serving in Iceland for a year and in England and France. He was scheduled to receive a furlough to his home here (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) and was recalled for the invasion from Paris.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. John Frese of the town of Reseburg, two sisters, Mrs. Harold Mattes of Reseburg and Mrs. Guy Jewett of La Crosse, and one brother, Emmet of Reseburg.
