Linster, Theodore (6 Oct. 1911 - 24 Apr. 2008)

Theodore "Ted" Linster, age 96, of Neillsville died Thursday, April 24, 2008, in the palliative care unit of St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Theodore Nick Linster was born on Oct. 6, 1911, in the town of Weston, Clark County, the son of Theodore and Bertha (Beyer) Linster. He attended school in the town of Pine Valley, and then farmed on the family farm. On Nov. 18, 1939, he was united in marriage to Marian Silkey in Eau Claire. After marriage, they continued to farm until he retired in 1973. Through 68 years of marriage, Ted and Marian continued to lovingly care for each other.

Ted was a member of Pine Valley Zion Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; a sister-in-law, Sally (George) Mohr, of Eau Claire; a nephew, Shane Mohr, of Eau Claire; a niece, Heather (Chris) Wagner, of Eau Claire; great-niece and great-nephew, Serena and Destyn Wagner of Eau Claire; and two half sisters-in-law, Ruth Lawrence of Milwaukee and Evelyn Silkey of Marshfield.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma, Edna and Leona.

No funeral services are planned.

The Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville is assisting Ted's family.
