Brown, Gerald Ralph Roland "Speedy" (28 February 1942 - 10 April 2008)

Gerald "Speedy" Brown, 66, Neillsville, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at his home in the Merchants Hotel.

Gerald Ralph Roland Brown was born February 28, 1942, in Loyal, the son of George Wesley and Agnes (Kronberger) Brown. He lied most of his life in the Loyal and Neillsville area, where he worked as a farmer. Later in life he worked for the Green Thumb Program as a custodian at the Neillsville High School.

Speedy enjoyed politics, and he was an avid hunter, Green Bay Packer fan and member of the Republican Party.

His family would like to thank all of his friends who cared for him over the years.

He is survived by eight brothers and sisters, Violet (Bruce) Snyder of Pennsylvania, Sharon (William) Schumacher of Lindenhurst, IL, Harley (Eileen) Brown of Nekoosa, Carol Brown and David Brown of North Chicago, IL, Bernard and Jeffrey Brown of Florida and Katherine Harrison of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, George and Augusta Kronberger and Alexander and Hazel Brown.

A private Funeral Service will be held at a later date.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Speedy’s family with funeral arrangements.
