John Sell and Kurt Beyreis were over from Wausau on a business trip Saturday.

Otto Baumgart went to Stevens Point, this morning, to visit at John Biell’s home.

Mrs. E. Kesler and niece went to Unity, Saturday, to visit at the home of Mat Kesler.

Miss Katie Jacobson went to Westfield, her former home, Saturday, for a few days visit.

Mrs. Chas. Bahl went to Milladore, Tuesday, and spent the day with a lady friend and family.

I have money to loan on Improved Farms at a low rate of Interest. A. J. Young, Abbotsford, Wis.

Ferdinand F. Marks and family departed this morning for Lomira, for a week’s visit with relatives.

There will be preaching services both morning and evening in the M. E. church, Sunday, Aug. 4.

Otto Janke and son Otto were over from Curtiss, Wednesday, on business. We received a pleasant call.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brehm and daughter returned home Monday, from their Sheboygan county visit.

Rev. Adolph Miller of Hewitt, and Rev. Arntz of Dorchester were guests of Rev. H. J. Artmann, Wednesday.

Chas. Holtzhausen returned home, Saturday, from a week’s visit with relatives and old friends in Sheboygan.

Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Kautsky went to Vesper, this morning, to attend a meeting of the Guernsey Breeders’ association.

Miss Irma Zillmann went to Thorp, Wednesday evening, to spend the balance of the week with George Zillmann’s family.

Fancy Texas Peaches, for canning and eating, at $1.80 per bushel at Fleischmann’s Bakery. Order right away as they are going fast.

Miss Emma Kramer came up from Fond du Lac, Friday, to visit a few weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kramer in the town of Colby, Wis.

Ole C. Anderson of Withee, candidate for county treasurer is in the city today.

Mrs. Fred Hutton returned home from her visit in Battle Creek, Michigan, Wednesday evening.

Miss Esther Rosin went to Medford, Wis., Tuesday, to visit a few days with Dr. H. M. Nedry’s family.

Those from here who attended the Normal Summer School, at Stevens Point arrived home Saturday evening.

Mrs. Wm. Lussenden and daughter of Spencer, were over Sunday visitors at Frank Hildebrandt’s home at Cherokee.

Wallace Henkel has accepted the position of night clerk at the hotel Adams, in Abbotsford, and started in on his duties the first of the week.

Miss Lillian Schuh went to Tomahawk, Saturday, to visit her sister, Mrs. Aug. Lindner. After a two week’s visit there she will go to Chicago.

Roy Brown of Chicago, who visited five weeks in the town of Colby, at the home of his aunt, Mrs. John Schuh, Sr., departed for his home last Saturday.

Miss Adela Mattheis, who was called to Potter, by the illness of her mother, returned last week Thursday, and is again at her place in the Colby State Bank.

Mrs. Gust Henkel of this city, Mrs. Ernst Podevels of the town of Hull, and her daughter, Margaret, John Thorn and family, Peter Thorn and family, and Henry Baures and family spent Sunday in Marshfield with relatives.

Bernard Kramer left Monday morning for Valley City, N.D., where he will work during the harvesting and threshing season and expects to return home in time to hang his Christmas Sox.
