Genevieve F. 'Genny' Luepke RACINE - Genevieve F. 'Genny' Luepke, 82, passed away at her residence on Sunday, February 29, 2004. She was born in Loyal on May 29, 1921. She lived most of her life in Racine. She was married to Elmer W. Luepke on July 12, 1941, in the parsonage of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Genevieve was a former member of Epiphany Lutheran Church and a current member of Grace Lutheran Church. Her life's work was taking care of the family, whom she loved so much. She also spent 12 years working as a Hairdresser at Lincoln Convalescent Center.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Elmer; their children, Charmaine (Gary) Hurtienne of Racine and Bob (Shawn) Luepke of Holland, Mich.; grandchildren, Michael Luepke of Lafayette, Ind. and Regan Luepke of Holland, Mich.; sister, Ila Olsen of Greenwood; sister-in-law, Irene Verch of Spencer; and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded by her daughter, Kathleen; grandchildren, Rhoni and Randy Hurtienne; and brothers, Harold and Victor Schmidt.

Complete Funeral services will be held in the chapel at West Lawn Memorial Park on Thursday, March 4, 2004, at 2:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to visit with the family in the chapel on Thursday beginning at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Bethesda Lutheran Home, 700 Hoffmann Drive, Waterford, Wis. 53094. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Noel Battle and the people of Covenant Home Health and Hospice for their extraordinary support and care.
