Stevens, Patricia Joyce (Marriage - 22 Mar. 1959)

Miss Patricia Joyce Stevens, daughter of Mrs. Althoe Stevens of Beatrice, Neb., and James I. Nipko, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Nipko of Unity were married March 22 at a 4 p.m. ceremony at the Centenary Methodist Church in Beatrice.

The Rev. Walter Jewett officiated before an altar decorated with spring flowers and bouquets of gladioli. Mrs. Immagene Scammen was organist as Mrs. Dwight Moell sang "Because" and "O Promise Me."

The bride was escorted to the altar by her uncle, Myron Trout. She wore a two-piece street length dress of white satin styled with princess lines and a small white hat. She carried red roses placed on a white Bible.

Miss Phyllis Stevens was her sister’s maid of honor. She wore a blue princess style dress of embossed acetate accented by a corsage of yellow carnations.

George Case of Long Pine, Neb., was best man. Ushers were Edward Kelly and Arthur Kauffman.

A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony.

The bride attended Beatrice school and Mr. Nipko is a graduate of Colby High School. He has recently re-enlisted for six years in the U.S. Air Force.

Following a western trip and a Wisconsin visit the couple will make their home at 430 S. 17th St. Lincoln Nebr.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Nipko and children Dick and Mary Lee of Unity, Mrs. Grant Smart of Wausau and Miss Myrtle Nipko of Marshfield returned to their homes Monday night after attending the wedding.
