Pribnow, Wavaglee #2 (18 OCT 1941)

Wearing the traditional ivory satin Miss Wavalee Pribnow entered the First Evangelical and Reformed church on the arm of her father Saturday, October 18th to become the bride of George Miller, Jr., son of the George W. Miller. Over her gown which ended in a train and which was trimmed with lace to give a redingote effect fell a fingertip veil held by a tiara of seed pearls. She wore pearls, a gift of the groom, and carried a handkerchief which the groom’s mother carried at her wedding. To complete the ensemble, she chose a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums.

Preceding the bride were her attendants, Miss Alice Mundt, maid of honor, in a gown of pink taffeta with rose velveteen bodice and the bridesmaids, Misses Frances Noth and Lorraine Hansen of Marshfield, who were gowned in fuchsia Taffeta with wine velveteen bodices. They wore corsages of mums and matching flowers in their hair.

Kenneth Muir of Blue Island, Ill., was his cousin’s best man. Ushers were Otto Helmke, Marshfield, a cousin; and James Watson, Blue Island.

Watching her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. J. C. Pribnow wore a corsage of tea roses and white chrysanthemums on her frock. Mrs. Miller chose a similar corsage for the event. The bride’s grandmothers, Mrs. Theresia Maier and Mrs. J. F. Pribnow wore pastel corsages.

Mrs. R. G. Salter played the wedding marches and also accompanied the vocal soloists, Jack Pribnow, brother of the bride, and Mrs. C. Kleiber.

After the 5:00 P. M. candle-light ceremony which was performed by Rev. S. Schmiechen, dinner was served in the parish hall. Later guests gathered at the J. F. Pribnow home.

Mrs. Miller Jr. is employed by Hugh F. Gwin, attorney-at-law in Loyal. She and her husband will live near Unity after a trip to northern Wisconsin.
