A wedding of interest to friends and relatives in the vicinity of Beaver and Green Grove Lutheran parsonage on Saturday, September 27 at 2 P. M. when Miss Mavis Hotchkiss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Langfeldt of Beaver and Edward Raatz, son of Mrs. Martha Raatz of Green Grove were united in marriage by the Rev. M. C. Goetsch.

The bride wore an olive green crepe dress with brown accessories and a corsage of roses and asters. Her maid of honor, Dorothy Hotchkiss of Duluth, Minnesota, sister of the bride was attired in a soldier blue crepe dress and accessories to match.

The bridesmaid was Verna Klug of Ashippun, cousin of the groom, and was attired in a wine crepe dress with matching accessories.

Edward Klug of Ashippun, a cousin, attended the groom as best man. The other attendant was Denner Drinkwine of Boyceville, a cousin of the bride. The groom and his attendants all wore white boutonnieres also the bride’s father.

The mothers and bride’s attendants wore shoulder corsages similar to that of the bride.

At 7 o’clock a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. In the evening a dance was held at Atwood for their many friends.

The newly weds will make their home in Green Grove.

Those from away who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hotchkiss of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Coy Drinkwine, Mrs. Lowell Stevens and Denner Drinkwine all of Boyceville, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kluge, Miss Verna Klug and Edward Klug of Ashippun, Misses Dorothy and Violet Hotchkiss of Duluth, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Albert Novak of Chicago, Ill.
