 Berdal, Kathleen A. (16 OCT 1965)

St. Bernard's Church, Thorp, was the scene for the marriage ceremony of Miss Kathleen Ann Berdal and terrence Leo Kenny. Father Brockman performed the eleven o'clock ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 16th, 1965.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Berdal, Thorp and Mrs. Marlowe Kenny, oak Forest, Ill.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a delustered white satin fitted gown with an overlay of lace on the bodice. A long train with an overlay of lace flowed from the empire waistline. A cluster of pearls secured the shoulder length veil and she carried a bouquet of white sweetheart roses and stephanotis.

Miss Judi Emmett, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, and bridesmaid was Mrs. Thomas Gialamas, sister of the groom. They wore floor length empire waisted dresses of forest green velvet tops and beige crepe skirts. A green and beige train attached to a green bow flowed from the empire waistline. They carried bronze and yellow mums in a crescent shaped bouquet.

Christine Gialamas, niece of the groom, was mock bride, wearing a delicate dress and headpiece of the bride and carried a matching bouquet of sweetheart roses and stephanotis.

Ken Lukes, friend of the groom, was best man, and Barry Berdal, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Mock grooms was Roddy Berdal and ring bearer was Dennis Berdal, both brothers of the bride.

A luncheon and dinner for 270 guests was served by the Legion Auxiliary at the Thorp Legion Hall. Mrs. Henry Cieslik was hostess for the couple.

The bride, a 1964 graduate of Thorp High School, is a file clerk with Commonwealth Edison Co., Chicago. The groom is a 1957 graduate of Chicago Vocational School and is a pipe fitter with L.J. Keefe and Co., Oak Forest, Ill.

After a wedding trip to Oklahoma, they will make their home in Oak Forest, Ill.
