Swarthout, E. L. (63rd Birthday - 21 Apr. 1908)

E. L. Swarthout of Colby was in our office Tuesday and in the course of a social chat informed us that it was his 63d birthday, and that with Mrs. Swarthout he was taking a pleasure drive through the country in celebration of the event. Mr. Swarthout carries his years easily and is a living example of the results of a life well spent.

Just think of it, only three years ago we attended a party, given by Mrs. Swarthout, in honor of E. L.’s birthday - his fortieth, he claimed then, and now he tells Bro. Pier that he is 63 when he doesn’t look a minute older than 50. You talked too much in that print shop, E. L., and will now have to withdraw from our kid class and get in line with the old men.
