Kraut, Betty Jean (Marriage - 29 Sept. 1951)

Miss Betty Jean Kraut, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Kraut of Curtiss, and Ernest C. Boss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Boss of Abbotsford, were united in marriage in the Lutheran parsonage in Dorchester Saturday afternoon, Rev. F. H. Sprengler reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Boss of Curtiss, the groom’s brother and sister-in-law.

A beige dress of lace and faille was selected by the bride for her wedding. Dark orchid accessories completed her ensemble and her corsage was composed of orchids and lilies of the valley. Her attendant was attired in a hunter green dress with plum accessories and a corsage of white roses and lilies of the valley.

A 4:00 P.M. reception was held at the Skylite Club in Athens, and, in the evening, a wedding dance was held at the Colby pavilion.

The bride, a graduate of Taylor County Normal School, taught at Unity for two years and the groom is a graduate of Abbotsford High School.

The newlyweds will reside west of Abbotsford where the groom is engaged in farming.
