Government Day

State FFA secretary Whitney Peissig, Dorchester, participated in State Government Day February 7, in Madison.

This event brings together state-level officers (and this year, one national officer) of six career and technical organizations, including DECA (marketing students) FBLA (business students), FCCLA (family and consumer students), FFA (agricultural education students), HOSA (heath education students) and Silesia (technology students).

The students gathered to listen, meet with and ask questions of legislators and government officials on career and workforce topics.

A total of 53 students planned to attend. The students toured the state capitol, then convened in smaller groups based on geography to meet with their legislators.
