Brotherton, Edna (10 Sept. 1891 - 30 June 1950)

Mrs. Alvin Brotherton, a native of Colby, Wisconsin ,died last Friday at the Miller Hospital in St. Paul, Minn., at the age of 58 years. Funeral services were held Monday at the Georgas Funeral Home at Neillsville and burial was made in the Neillsville cemetery. Brothers George Preston of Menomonie and John Neuendorf of Madison officiated.

Mrs. Brotherton, nee Edna Rosin, was born Sept. 10, 1891. at Colby, Wis. She graduated from the Colby High School and also attended Central State Teachers College at Stevens Point. She taught school seven years and was married to Alvin Brotherton at Colby on Nov. 4, 1914. After farming in Marathon county for 22 years, they moved to Clark county in 1936 and operated a farm in the town of Pine Valley, P. O. Neillsville, ever since.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Gwendolyn, of Neillsville, two sons, George of Dallas, Texas, and Lloyd of Menomonie and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Munich of Delavan, Mrs. George (Ester) Wills of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Mrs. Hugo (Hortense) Brehm of Colby, Wis. A brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
