Hill, Richard (2 FEB 1891 - 12 JUN 1943)

Richard Hill, 52, died suddenly Saturday at his farm home following a heart attack, and funeral services were conducted this afternoon from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin), the Rev. George Autio, pastor of the Finnish Lutheran Church, officiating.

He was born Feb. 2, 1891 at Saarijarvi, Finland, and in 1916 was united in marriage to Tilda Koski at Marquette, Mich. He was twenty years of age when he came to this country, and then located at Marquette. Twenty-four years ago he moved to Owen and settled on the farm, three and one-half miles south of the city, where he has since resided. The day of his death, he sold his farm and personal property to the Thorp Finance Corp.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, two sons, Cpl. Helge A. Hill, overseas, and Cpl. Hugo A. Hill, Camp Davis, North Carolina, and three daughters, Mrs. Jos. Stalcar, Waukegan, Ill., and Lillian and Ruth, who are at home. Also two brothers, William and Edward Peura of Deerton, Mich.

Interment took place in Riverside Cemetery this afternoon.
