Hauser, Beverly Ann (Marriage - 11 Nov. 1950)

Miss Beverly Ann Hauser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hauser of Colby, and John Dittner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dittner of Spencer, were united in marriage at a ceremony performed in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Saturday, Nov. 11; Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating. Mrs. Eileen Bushman of Marshfield was matron of honor and Miss Marlene Hibbard of Colby was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Edward Bushman and James Hauser.

The bride was attired in a satin gown with softly gathered Bertha looped in a scalloped effect, sheer rayon nylon marquisette yoke bordered with lovely chantilly type lace, fitted bodice, full gathered skirt with cathedral train, finger-tip veil of sheer imported illusion bordered with chantilly type lace. Her long traditional sleeves ended in points at the wrist. Around her neck, she wore a baby locket. Her cascade bouquet consisted of various sizes of white mums. Her attendants wore identical dresses with full gathered skirts with hand lace trim and hoop skirt, nylon marquisette yoke, with matching gauntlets, headpiece matching formal of hair braid, each rosette centered with a spray of lilies of the valley, in forest green and antique gold respectively. Each also wore a necklace and earrings, gifts of the bride, and their cascade bouquets consisted of yellow and bronze mums. Rita Mae Dins, as flower girl, wore a white satin gown similar to that of the bride with little gauntlets, ruffled scallops around the bottom trimmed with white velvet bows. Around her neck, she wore a baby locket, a gift of the bride, and carried a cascade bouquet of yellow and white mums.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a wedding dance was given at Walter’s pavilion. Guests were present from La Crosse, Sheboygan, South Wayne, Marshfield, Spenver, Stevens Point and Colby, Wis.

The groom is employed on a farm south of Spencer.
