At 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon June 28 a very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Riplinger when Miss Merle Domer and Richard Watson Colby repeated their wedding vows before Rev. Frank Albrecht.

The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Domer of Spencer and the groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Colby of Unity. Both have been employed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The bride was attired in a white silk embroidered organza colonial style gown with a fitted bodice. She wore a gold cross, a gift of the groom, and carried a bouquet of roses, baby breath and sweet peas. Her white net veil edged in lace, and sweetheart cap were held in place by a tiara of seed pearls. She was given in marriage by her father

Miss Lyla Domer, sister of the bride was bridesmaid and she also observed her 21st birthday that day. She wore a gown of blue net trimmed with pink ribbon bows at the shoulders. She wore a pink veil, and a gold cross given to her by the bride. Her bouquet consisted of pink carnations and sweet peas.

Miss Ramona Domer, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Bernice Martens, cousin of the bride were dressed in pink net with blue bow trim and blue veils. They wore gold crosses, gifts of the bride. Miss Bertha Hardrath played the wedding march and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Domer , uncle and aunt of the bride, sang "I Love You Truly", and "O Promise Me."

Mr. Bert Colby, brother of the groom, was best man, and Marvin Domer, brother of the bride, and Carl Domer, uncle of the bride were groomsmen. Ushers were Orville Domer, brother of the bride, and Rudy Lynn.

Little Miss Marilyn Halbur, was flower girl. Her dress was of blue organdy. The bride’s mother chose a navy blue dress with white accessories and shoulder corsage of roses and sweet peas. The groom’s mother wore navy blue with a similar corsage.

About 40 guests were served at a wedding dinner held in the church basement. Decorations consisted of blue, white, and pink streamers, and a large white wedding bell, and also a large wedding cake and a birthday cake decorated the brides table.

The bride is a graduate of the Unity High School and the groom is a salesman for the Holland Furnace Company in Milwaukee, where they will make their home at 3037 W. Kilbourn Ave., after July 10th.

The newlyweds left Monday morning on a wedding trip for a week in northern Michigan.

Relatives and friends who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Felix Dietsche, Owen, Mr. and Mrs. A. Lippert and daughter of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Kuester and Miss Lyla Domer of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Halbur and daughter of Wisconsin Rapids, Leo and Carl Domer of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Justman and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Orth of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Martens and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schultz, Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. James Colby and son Bert of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Neuman and sons of Unity, Miss Bertha Hardrath and the Rev. Franklin Albrecht.

A wedding dance was given—last words on the copy so it is not complete.
