Feind, Adeline (31 Oct. 1909 - 18 Aug. 2003)

Adeline Feind of Colby, Wisconsin died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at Saint Joseph's Hospital hospice home, House of the Dove, Marshfield. Maurina Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting the family with the arrangements. (19 Aug. 2003)

Adeline Evelyn Louise Feind, child of God and sister in Christ, was called to her eternal rest on Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at the age of 93. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, Wis. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark G. Neumann officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, Wis. Adeline was born Oct. 31, 1909, in Colby, the third of nine children born to Carl and Amanda (Wiedenhoeft) Feind. She was baptized on Dec. 19, 1909, and confirmed May 13, 1923, at Zion Lutheran Church. She worked as a cook at the Colby Hotel for many years. She also worked for Streckert Manufacturing and retired from the Colby Box Factory. She was a life-long resident of Colby and a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Adeline is survived by her brother and sisters, Arthur (Lois) Feind of Owen, Laura Kumbier of Colby, Verna Feind of Milwaukee, Irene Feind of Milwaukee and Alida Feind of Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Genevieve Feind of Colby; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends, and the Zion Lutheran congregation. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Elsie (E.W.) Schulz and two brothers, Julius (Georgia) Feind and Ernest Feind. A memorial will be established in her name at a later date.
