Wolff, Alice (Marriage - 20 Aug. 1949)

The marriage of Miss Alice Wolff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wolff of Edgar, and Robert Ballerstein of Colby, route 1, took place Saturday afternoon, August 20, at St. John’s Lutheran church, town of Wein.

The bride was attired in a white sheer gown, enhanced with a net veil falling from a headdress of pearl orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white gladioli.

Mrs. Joseph Altmann, of Marshfield, a sister of the bride, dressed in rose taffeta and carrying a bouquet of white and pink gladioli was the matron of honor. Her husband, Joseph Altmann, served the groom as best man.

Also attending the bride was Miss Audrey Ballerstein, a sister of the groom, who wore a tea colored dress and carried white and pink gladioli. Delbert Ballerstein was the other attendant for the groom.

About 100 relatives and friends were guests at the home of the bride’s parents for supper, after which a reception was held, followed by a dance in the evening at Fendwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Ballerstein are now living on the groom’s farm in the town of Frankfort.
