Bujalski, Josephine (8 NOV 1941)

Josephine Bujalski, daughter of Mrs. Helen Bujalski Palmer of Stanley, was married to Joseph Dudkiewicz, son of Michael Dudkiewicz of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on Nov. 8th, 1941 at Our Lady of Grace Church at Chicago, Illinois. Father Gorman performed the double ring ceremony at eleven o’clock nuptial high mass.

The bride wore a slipper satin gown fashioned in a torso style, long sleeves, and a long train. The veil was long with hand rolled edges scalloped bottom and headpiece of orange blossoms. She carried calla lilies with an orchid in the center. The bride was given away by her brother, Henry Bujalski.

For her attendants, the bride chose the Misses Catherine Miller of Berlin, Wis., Frances Klugiewicz of Stanley, and Rose Krych of Thorp, was maid of honor. The two attendants wore bay blue velveteen gowns, with headpieces made of plumes and velveteen ribbon. Miss Krych wore an alpine rose velveteen gown with the hade piece of plumes and ribbon also. The gowns were made with a long scalloped torso and puffed sleeves. They carried tinted bronze chrysanthemums.

The flower girls, Marilyn and Marlene Kostrzeski, twin nieces of the bride, wore alpine rose velveteen gowns, made like the maid of honor and carried bronzed mums. They wore plumes with velveteen ribbons.

The groom chose for his attendants, Felix Dudkiewicz of Camp Livingston, La., brother of the groom, and Joseph Krych, nephew of the groom. They wore black tuxedos with carnation boutonnieres. The groom had a gardenia boutonniere.

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Edward Kostrzeski, to about 50 immediate relatives. A reception dinner and dance was given at the Oaza Hall to about 300 guests at 8:00 in the evening.

The bride’s mother, Mrs. Palmer, wore a dress of wine color with a corsage of white carnations. The immediate family wore chrysanthemum corsages.

The out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Palmer, Mrs. Anton Klugiewicz and Miss Josephine Plombon of Stanley; Mrs. John Sappa of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Krych, Mrs. Louis Ciolkosz, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jarocki and son John, Peter Panek, Felix Zukowski, Jack Slota, Michael Dudkiewicz, father of the groom, Stanley Wargolewicz, all of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bojarski, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Piontek, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kaminski and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dudkiewicz, of Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mamayek of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Miller of Berlin, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Sig Miller and daughters Marion and Nancy, of Red Granite, Wis..

The couple will be at their own home after Nov. 22 in Chicago, where the groom is employed.
