Estes, Bertha (18 JUN 1876 – 19 NOV 1941)

Mrs. Frank Estes, nee Bertha Frese, died Thursday morning at nine o’clock at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chippewa Falls, death being due to a stroke which she suffered on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 19, 1941, at four o’clock, having never regained consciousness.

Mrs. Estes was born in New Holstein, June 18, 1876, and moved to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) with her parents in 1887. When still in young womanhood she secured employment in Chippewa Falls and had been a resident here ever since. In 1906 she was married to Frank Estes who preceded her in death inn 1934. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Maggie McKee and Mrs. John Rossman of Polley, Wis., Mrs. E.F. Heidemann and Mrs. Arthur Seaman, two brothers, Henry and Herman Frese of Thorp, 23 nieces and nephews.

The remains will lie in state at the Gogseth Funeral Chapel from Sunday until the hour of the funeral. Services will take place Monday afternoon at two o’clock from the funeral chapel. Interment will be made in Forest Hill Cemetery.
