Krych, Louise (Marriage - 18 OCT 1941)

In a ceremony Saturday afternoon, Oct. 18th, 1941 at three thirty o’clock at St. Stanislaus B. & M. Church in Chicago, Ill., Joseph Sumiec, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sumiec of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., claimed as his bride Miss Louise Krych, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Andrew Krych of Thorp, Wis.

The bride was given away by her father, Rev. Jerome Fabinski performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Clara Ucherek, cousin of the bride, sang the appropriate selections, Ave Maria and Mother Mary Accept My Offerings. Chrysanthemums and roses decorated the church aisle and altars.

The bride chose a white slipper, satin gown, long train with plain French illusion veil attached to a crown rhinestone tiara. She carried a beautiful bouquet of gardenias and orchids.

Her attendants were her sisters, Rose and Katherine Krych and Clara Sumiec, sister of the groom, wearing peacock blue gowns of silk faille and tiara’s white short veils and carried beautiful bouquets of chrysanthemums.

Miss Dolores Krych, sister of the bride was maid of honor wore the identical gown in poppy red and carried the same type of bouquet.

Stanley Sumiec, brother of the groom, acted as the best man. The other attendants were Adam Wojt and Frank Krych. The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos.

The bride’s small attendants, Patricia Grezenia, niece of the bride, in same dress and bouquet as the bridesmaids, and Raymond Sokalski, nephew of the bride, in a full dress tuxedo.

Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast for the bridal party was served at the home of Mrs. Theresa N. Yurkowsky, sister of the bride. Later in the afternoon a large reception at Northwest Peoples Hall.

Out of town guests attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. John Sumiec, son Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. John Filipek, daughter Henrietta, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Krych and family, Mike Dudkiewicz, Mrs. Anna Panek and daughter Antonette, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kowieski and Mrs. Stanley Janicki of Thorp, Wis., Miss Marie Sumiec of Cleveland, Ohio, Joe Baronwoski and Marie and John Filipek, of Whiting, Indiana, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sokolski and son Raymond, Mrs. Harry Dudkiewicz, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kaminski and Miss Katherine Krych of Green Bay, Wis.
