Stark, Samuel J. (9 Sept. 1887 - 21 Feb. 1954)

Funeral services were held last week Thursday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, Wisconsin for Samuel J. Stark, age 66, retired business man and resident of Unity for 37 years, who died Sunday evening, Feb. 21, at the home of Mrs. William Dallman in Milwaukee, where he had been living the past three months. The Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiated and burial was in Trinity Lutheran cemetery in Unity, Wis.

Active pallbearers were Theodore Dallman, Norman Uecker, Clifford Schweke and Lorraine, Marvin and Walter Flink. Among the honorary pallbearers were James Colby, Earl Salter, John Johnson, Carl Peterson, and Edward Melander. Relatives and friends from Muskegon, Mich., Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Clintonville and several nearby communities attended the funeral.

Mr. Stark was born on September 9, 1887, in Muskegon and was married in Chicago to Ella Flink. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Unity, Wis. He had been ailing for years.

Surviving are his widow; two brothers, George Stark of Grand Rapids, Mich., and John Stark of Muskegon, and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Baker and Mrs. Pearl Spier of Muskegon.
