Youmans, Ann (8 Mar. 1899 - 1 Jan. 1954)

Mrs. J. J. Youmans died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Friday morning, where she had been a patient the past two weeks, at the age of 54 years. Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic church Monday morning, Rev. Frank Brickl officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Ray Wo?, Angus Lamont, Jr., J. L. Steinwand, Martin Weix, Robert Hemmy and Peter Apfelbeck. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Otto Rannow, Mrs. A. J. Kriplean, Mrs. Ed Frome, Mrs. Carl Borchert, Mrs. Frieda Koeppen and Mrs. Elroy Augustine.

Ann Patrick was born in Calumet, Mich., on March 8, 1899, and was married to J. J. Youmans on Sept. 15, 1930. The couple lived in Chelsea and Wisconsin Rapids before coming to Colby in July, 1934. Mr. Youmans is the Soo Line agent in Colby, Wis.

Surviving are her husband, a son, Patrick, serving in the U.S. Navy at Oreana, Va., a daughter, Mrs. Harold Tisdale, of Indianapolis, Ind.; three brothers, Michael Patrick, Henry Patrick and John Patrick, all of Detroit, Mich.; and her step mother, Mrs. Mary Dudin of L’Anse, Mich.

Mrs. Youmans was a member of St. Mary’s congregation, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2227 and the Blue Sky Garden Club of Colby, Wis. Mrs. Youmans took a keen interest in all organizations of which she was a member and always was ready to help with the work. At all times she had a pleasant word for her friends so her death comes as a dark shadow not only to her relatives but her friends as well.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Patrick J. Youmans, U.S.N., Oreana, Va., Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tisdale of Indianapolis, Ind., Michael Patrick, John Patrick and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Patrick of Detroit, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jacobs of Rib Lake, Mrs. and Mrs. Bill Buchmiller of Westboro.
