Apfelbeck, Teresa Marie (Marriage - 25 Sept. 1954)

Miss Teresa Marie Apfelbeck of Colby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lea Apfelbeck, became the bride of Joseph John Rindt of Stetsonville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Siegfried Rindt of Stetsonville, in a marriage ceremony performed Saturday morning in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic church in Stetsonville, Wisconsin, Rev. Lawrence Rindt from the Holy Family Seminary in St. Louis, Mo., officiating. He was also celebrant at the 9:00 o’clock high mass which followed the marriage rites.

The bride’s gown of white net over satin was enhanced with a sheer yoke outlined with lace appliqué. Lace also edged the fingertip veil which fell in soft folds from a scalloped tiara. White baby mums were interspersed with the red roses and gladioli in her bouquet.

A sister of the bride, Miss Genevieve Apfelbeck, Colby, was maid of honor. She was garbed in a blue strapless gown of net over taffeta completed with a lace jacket. The bouffant skirt was ballerina-length. She carried a bouquet composed of a pink-centered orchid combined with white mums.

Gowns styled similarly in shades of yellow, coral, and green were donned by the three bridesmaids - Mrs. Earl Biter, Des Plaines, Ill., another sister of the bride, Miss Carol Neilsen, Chicago, and Mrs. Al Rindt, Stetsonville, a sister-in-law of the groom. Yellow gladioli and white mums were in their bouquets.

The groom chose his brother, Edward Rindt, Stetsonville, to serve as best man. Groomsmen included Earl Biter, Des Plaines, Ill., and John Apfelbeck, and Al Rindt, a brother of the bride and groom, respectively.

Pink and white flowers formed the corsages pinned at the shoulderlines of the blue ensembles chosen by the mothers of the bridal pair.

Dinner was served at noon for the immediate families and bridal party at the home of the bride’s parents. That afternoon the newlyweds greeted guests there at a reception with a 4 o’clock buffet supper concluding the day’s festivities.

Residence of Mr. Rindt and his bride will be in Chicago, after a honeymoon at the Wisconsin Dells. The new Mrs. Rindt, who attended the Rusk School and St. Mary’s Catholic School, is employed at the Teletype Corporation in Niles, Ill. Her husband, who attended Stetsonville schools, assisted in the operation of his father’s farm.

Out-of-town guests were from Colby, Abbotsford, Edgar, Athens, Boyd, Chicago, Dorchester, Medford, Eland, Des Plaines, West Bend, Wausau, Elmwood Park, Ill., Bensenville, Ill., and St. Louis, Mo.
