Fricke, Edward (27 Aug. 1884 - 24 July 1953)

Edward Fricke of Colby, Route 2, died Friday at 4:15 P.M. at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital of complications arising from injuries received when a tractor ran over him on June 30. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Methodist church at Colby, Wis., Rev. Harvey Schall officiating, and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Henry Aderhold, Wilbur Becker, Walter Gasch, George Carr, Carl Dallman and Richard Behrens. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Carl Dallman, Mrs. George Carr, Mrs. H. Calbaum, Mrs. E. Brehm, Mrs. Harold Viergutz and Mrs. Emil Wolk.

Mr. Fricke was born at Cherokee, in the town of Hull, on August 27, 1884, thus reaching the age of 58 years. His marriage to Bertha Wolk of Colby took place on December 29, 1914.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Orville of the town of Hull and Edward, Jr., on the home farm; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Louise) Ebann of Homewood, Ill., Mrs. Carl (May) Ebann of Oak Park, Ill., and Miss Hazel Fricke of Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Frieda Warrner of Sayner; five grand children.
