Allain, Joseph H. (18 Aug. 1891 - 2 May 1953)

Joseph H. Allain, age 62, a resident of Unity, Wisconsin all his life, died at 3:30 P.M. Saturday at the Winnebago State Hospital where he had been a patient the past two weeks. Previous to that time, he had been a patient at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis., Rev. Frank Brickl officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers included Tony Will, Bernard Tennis, Robert and Benny Foltz, Russell Meyer and William Schultz.

Mr. Allain was born in Unity on August 18, 1891 and attended school in Unity, Wis. His marriage to Miss Anna Foltz of Wonnewoc took place on April 23, 1917. He operated a greenhouse in Unity, Wis.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Parker and Mrs. James Wilcox of Milwaukee, Mrs. Victor Fisher of Spencer, and Mrs. A. O. Kline of Aurora, Ill., a son, Doland of Milwaukee; eight grand children; five sisters, Mrs. Frank Van Sleet of Unity, Mrs. Ruth Daudry and Miss Cora Allain of Fond du Lac; Mrs. Anna Schroeder of Wausau and Mrs. Art Foltz of Marshfield; three brothers, Frank of Milwaukee, Charles of Fond du Lac and Theodore of Richland Center. A son and a sister preceded him in death.
