Apfelbeck, Lucile (Marriage - 25 May 1953)

Miss Lucile Apfelbeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Apfelbeck of the town of Hull, and Clyde L. Weber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis H. Weber of Athens, were united in marriage in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Monday morning, May 25, at 9:00 o’clock, Rev. Frank Brickl officiating at the ceremony.

Attendants included the bridegroom’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lyton Weber, Abbotsford, as best man and matron of honor, and the bride’s sister and brother, Helen and Leon Apfelbeck, as bridesmaid and groomsman. The two young women were attired in green ballerina frocks and wore matching tinted carnations in their hair and wrist bouquets of the same flowers.

The bride’s entrained gown of net and lace was trimmed at the yoke line with tiny beads. She wore a finger-tip veil of silk illusion and carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Mrs. Apfelback, mother of the bride, was attired in a gold print dress and the bridegroom’s mother wore an ice blue silk knit ensemble. Both had mixed shoulder bouquets.

The home of the bride’s parents was the scene of a reception for 175 guests later in the day. In the evening, a dance was given in honor of the couple at the Riverview ballroom. Guests were present from Milwaukee, Chicago, Colby, Athens and Abbotsford, Wis.

The couple will live in Chicago.
