Buettner, Clara Jean (7 July 1918 - 4 Jan. 2008)

Clara Buettner

Clara Jean Buettner, 89, of Neillsville, formerly of Hackensack, Minn., died Jan. 4, 2008, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Living Hope Evangelical Free Church in Neillsville. Interment will be in Neillsville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Gesche Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Clara Jean Francis was born July 7, 1918, in Greenwood, the daughter of Fred and Charlotte (Stoneburg) Francis. She was united in marriage to Darrell S. Buettner on May 12, 1938, in Neillsville. They moved to Walker, Minn., where Clara Jean first worked for her mother-in-law and later as the school secretary for 11 years. She then worked for the Ahg Wah Ching Sanitarium as the supervisor in the laundry department for many years before her retirement. She moved to Neillsville in November 2007.

She is survived by her daughter: Charlotte (David) Tetzlaff of Neillsville; a son-in-law, Herman Hediger Jr. of Neillsville; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.

She is also survived by a sister: Martha (Ed) Harycki of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
