Abbotsford, Wis. - Oct. 8, 1953

Mrs. Wilbur Kuehnast spent several days in Milwaukee where she attended the grand chapter of the Eastern Star and also visited her daughter.

Mrs. Elmer Jensen, president of the Abbotsford Parent-Teachers Association, attended the fall conference of the Seventh District of the Wisconsin Congress of Parents and Teachers held at Wausau, Wisconsin last Thursday.

Mrs. Louis Schorer visited several days at Stevens Point and Sheboygan. At the latter place, she attended the wedding of a niece.

Pvt. Art Marcott returned to Camp Gordon, Ga., last Thursday after spending a 10 day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Marcott.

The Vern Dohm family, who recently sold their farm to the Oscar Lickman family of Illinois, have rented the Harvey Bitter residence, on the west side, which Mr. Bitter has remodeled.

Mrs. Violi Rusk, who spent the summer at her home here, returned to Chicago last week Wednesday. She accompanied Miss Gladys Brechin who is employed in Winnetka. Miss Brechlin came home to spend several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Brechlin.

Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Wing spent several days at Toulon, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jarocki have purchased the Dr. G. G. Shields property on Main Street.

Mrs. William Garbrecht spent the past week in Wausau with Mr. and Mrs. William Krueger.

Mr. and Mrs. George Kelley spent several days in Milwaukee where they attended a cheesemakers’ convention.

Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bates and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Merwin returned after spending two weeks with relatives in Kewashkus.

Miss Althea Rilling attended the meeting of the Grand Chapter of Eastern Star in Milwaukee last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Scheel visited their daughter, Mary, at the Wisconsin General Hospital, Madison, recently.

Cheerleaders chosen by the high school faculty are Norma Wilson, Susan Hartzell, Donna Gosse and Wanda Prough, "A" team, Mona Hinke, Angela Zink *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
