Marquardt, Charles (? - 14 Aug. 1952)

Charles Marquardt, a former resident of this community, died last Thursday, Aug. 14th, at 9:30 P.M. in a hospital in Glendale, Calif., where he had been a patient for over seven weeks. Funeral services were conducted at the Lutheran church in Glendale Monday and internment was made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Marquardt married Emma Augustine on December 28th in St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Green Grove in which the family moved to California in September, 1946. He was a Spanish-American War veteran.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Clarence; one daughter, Mrs. Ed (Mildred) Krauss; one grand daughter, Karen, all of Glendale; four brothers, Herman of Rothschild, Fred of Mellen, Frank of Colby and Benie of Marshfield; four sisters, Mrs. Julia Kobs of Chicago, Ill., Martha Meinhold of Greenwood, Lena Tesmer of Colby and Dora Hill of Chicago, Ill.
