Kuhl, Lavern Lillian (Marriage - 14 Oct. 1943)

Miss Lavern Lillian Kuhl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kuhl, Neillsville, became the bride of Eric R. Kopp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Kopp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Kopp, Neillsville, on Thursday, October, 14, at 4 o’clock, at the parsonage of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rev. William R. Baumann, pastor, performing the ceremony. The double ring service was used.

The bride was attired in a white satin gown with train and wore her mother’s wedding veil. Her flowers were pink and yellow chrysanthemums.

The maid of honor, Miss Betty Kuhl, sister of the bride, was dressed in aqua taffeta, with aqua finger tip veil. Her flowers were blue winter asters.

The bridesmaid, Mrs. Theodore Schwarze, sister of the groom, wore a yellow rayon gown and a yellow finger tip veil. Her flowers were also blue winter asters.

The groom’s attendants were Harland Kuhl, brother of the bride, and Theodore Schwarze, his brother-in-law. Only a few very close friends were present at the wedding ceremony.

The bride’s mother chose a brown wool gown. The groom’s mother wore a gown of dark blue rayon. Each wore pink chrysanthemums.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, supper being served to 37 guests. For the occasion the house was decorated with pink, blue and white streamers.

The date chosen for this wedding was the 29th wedding anniversary of the bride’s parents, the cake decorations used on the wedding cake were those used by the bride’s mother on her wedding cake.

The bride was graduated from the Neillsville high school in 1938, and has been employed at the Curl Shop. The groom is engaged in farming.

The bride and groom are now living on their farm south of Neillsville.

Out-of-town guests who here for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Werner Meihak; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Larson and Mrs. Walter May, Marshfield; and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kuhl, Eau Claire.
