ARLANDO B. STALL BURIED FRIDAY

Arlando R. Stall was born in (unreadable), July 9, 1848, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. W. Schelling at Riverside, east of Abbotsford, Wis., April 25, 1928, aged 79 years, 9 months and 16 days. At the age of 7 he moved with his parents to Mt. Vernon, Iowa, where his mother passed away soon after their arrival. The home being broken up he lived with friends until his father returning from the Civil war, soon remarried. In the late 60’s the family moved to Gundy Co., Iowa, near where the town of Beaman is now located.

January 1, 1874, he was united in marriage to Emma E. Wallace of Marshalltown, Iowa, and after spending three years on a farm in Marshall Co., Iowa, they moved to Gundy Co., Iowa where they lived on a farm until Jan. 1921 when they came to Colby, Wisconsin.

In 1909 he united with the United Bretheran Church, since that time he took an active part in church work when his health permitted.

He was the last of a family of four children, parents, two sisters and one brother having preceded him.

He leaves to mourn his departure his faithful wife, his two children, Mrs. C. W. Schelling and Arland V. Stall, three grand children, many relatives and a host of friends.

He was loved and respected by all who knew him, was of a cheerful nature and made many friends wherever he went.

A precious one from us is gone

A voice we love is stilled

A place is vacant in our home

Which never can be filled.
