Harvey Barts returned from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.

Bill Hedler spent several days in Green Bay where he installed a vacuum cooler which he sold.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Miller moved to Menasha where Mr. Miller is an apprentice at the Model Bakery.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Koffarnus of Wausau spent Sunday with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Ebert, Jr.

Mrs. Julius Kobs arrived from Chicago and will spend the summer at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marquardt.

Howard Colby, who spent the past five months working in Milwaukee, returned home Monday morning. He will help Frank Colby paint this summer.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kelly, Mrs. Walter Kobs and son, Eldred, of Chicago, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Emil Pokallus and other relatives.

Walter Runzheimer spent three days in Minneapolis where he attended the 22nd annual membership meeting of the Midland Co-operative Wholesale.

Wm. Hackel and daughters, Marilyn, Naomi, Imogene, Nancy and Catherine, and son, Bernard, attended memorial services for Pvt. Hackel at Milan Friday.

Mrs. Verna Riplinger returned to her home in Colby after spending the past three months in Baton Rouge, La., with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harvey.

Mrs. L. W. Frane received word of the birth of a daughter, Charyl Marie, on April 6th to her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hildebrand, at Patuxen River, Md.

Mr. and Mrs. William Roth of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Danielson and children, Sandra, and Stephen, of Abbotsford spent Saturday and Sunday at Packwaukee with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Roth.

Mrs. Otto Schulte of Colby and Mrs. S. Laabs, Sr., of Curtiss, spent the week-end at Byron, Ill., visiting their sister and brother in law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sante, and Mr. and Mrs. George Gebhardt of Wauwatosa.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Young and Mrs. Louis Young of Colby, accompanied by John Hederer of Marshfield, spent Sunday at Madison with Mr. and Mrs. James Rasmussen and to get acquainted with the new baby, James Richert. Mrs. Hederer also returned with them.

Mrs. Herbert Sauer and infant daughter, Eunice Catherine, returned from St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, and stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Loos. Mrs. Sauer is the former Marcella Loos. Sunday, Mrs. Sauer and children, Walter and Eunice, left for their home at Medford.
