Mr. and Mrs. Harry Laabs and sons left on Friday for Plymouth, Ind., where they will spend a week with the latter’s brother, Henry Hermanson, and family.

Henry Voightlander, a student at the University of Wis., spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Voightlander.

Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Peterson spent the week-end at Madison with their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Peterson. They also attended the Wis. California foot ball game.

Miss Bertha Kraut was a business caller at Neillsville on Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Erickson and children of Westby were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson.

Iris Johnson and Loretta Smith left last week for Milwaukee where they will be employed.

Mrs. Frances Clark and daughter, Mrs. Nathan York, and son of Gilman, spent the week-end with the former’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick.

Mrs. Mary Kobs and sister, Mrs. Doro Hill, and son returned to Chicago after visiting the former’s son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Kobs.

Miss Ruth Green spent several days last week with friends at Eau Claire.

Rev. G. E. Gorreson attended a reunion of his class at Luther College at Decorah, Iowa, on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson and daughter, Dorothy, were Wausau visitors on Friday.

Mrs. Mattie Gilbertson celebrated her 81st birthday at her home on October 8th.

Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Hoff were their daughters, Mrs. Louis Boardman, and children of Thorp, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stoltenberg of Nelsonville.

Mr. and Mrs. Eivand Berge of Braham, Minn., were the week-end guests of Rev. and Mrs. G. E. Borreson.

Armin Peterson, Albert Kesslig, and Mike Novak, motored to Sheboygan on Tuesday. From there Mr. Novak left for the east where he will again play with the Syracuse Nations basket ball team. The others returned home the same day.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matthias spent Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Matthias in Taylor county.

The local school was closed last Thursday and Friday while the teachers attended the Teachers Convention at Eau Claire.

Mrs. Ethel Bowen was called to Kansas last week by the illness of her father, James Smith.
