Schulz, Elaine (Marriage - 29 Nov. 1947)

Miss Elaine Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest W. Schultz, and Vernon Boss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Boss, exchanged marriage vows Saturday, Nov. 29th, at Zion Lutheran church in Colby, Wis., Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony.

Mrs. Maynard Bauer, sister of the bride, sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and Donald Schulz, brother of the bride, sang "O Promise Me," accompanied by Mrs. Woodrow Tesmer.

Attending the couple were Miss Arleen Schuette, Calvin Schulz, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schulz, Miss Imogene Fechhelm and Robert Boss.

The bride wore a gown of white satin fashioned with sweetheart neckline, long sleeves, and full skirt ending in a long train. Her three-quarter length veil, edged with wide lace, was caught to a seed pearl tiara. She carried a shower bouquet of red roses.

The bridesmaids wore identically styled gowns of moiré taffeta styled with fitted bodices, full skirts and short sleeves. Matching lace mitts and lace Dutch hats completed their attire. The maid of honor was dressed in white, Mrs. Schulz in rose, and Miss Fechhelm in fuchsia. All three attendants carried bouquets of red roses and white mums.

A four-thirty dinner was served to the immediate relatives at the home of the bride’s parents, and a wedding dance was given at Walter’s pavilion.

The couple will make their home on the farm of the bridegroom’s parents east of Abbotsford, Wisconsin.
