Kleinstick, Betty (Marriage - 11 Mar. 1947)

Miss Betty Kleinstick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kleinstick, and Orville Van Slett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Van Slett, exchanged marriage vows at a double ring ceremony Tuesday morning at St. Mary’s rectory at Greenwood Tuesday morning, Rev. John Novak reading the service. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Norman Brocker of Milwaukee, and as bridesmaid, her cousin, Miss Ruby Lindberg. The groom was attended by his brothers, Russel and Arthur Van Slett of Unity.

The bride was attired in a pink wool suit, a small black hat, trimmed with pink roses. She and her attendants all wore black gloves. Her corsage consisted of pink gladiolas and white narcissi. The matron of honor wore a white suit dress and white felt hat. Her corsage was similar to the bride’s. The bridesmaid wore a wool suit of gray with pink stripe and a pink hat. Her corsage consisted of yellow jonquils and white narcissi.

About 40 relatives attended the reception and dinner at the home of the bride’s parents. The dining room was decorated with pink and white streamers, pink roses and a large bridal cake.

Mr. and Mrs. Van Slett left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee, and, on their return, will be at home at Abbotsford until spring when the groom will engage in farming. At present, he is helping his father at logging.
