Curtiss, Wis. - Jan. 17, 1946

Pfc. Armin Peterson was discharged from military service at Camp Atterburg, Ind., and arrived home the latter part of the week. His brother, Ramon, who served overseas two and one-half years, has also been discharged and both boys are now at home with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peterson.

Pfc. Elmer Jakel, who has served with the U.S. Marines the past four years, received his discharge at Washington, D.C., and arrived here on Sunday for a short visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jakel. He expects to leave soon for Cocoa, Florida, to train for a baseball umpire.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Schiszik are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Feliz Schiszik. Norman has recently been discharged from service and has been visiting his wife’s parents in Canada. They will leave this week for Chicago where they will make their home.

Kenneth Sheets was discharged from service at Quantico, Va., and is home with his parents in Hoard, Wisconsin.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Klessig and children spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christ Klessig.

Miss Bernice Wendt and Mrs. Chas. Kosharek of Marshfield were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Buchanan.

Rev. and Mrs. J. Midtiien of Stanley visited with Rev. and Mrs. G. E. Borreson on Sunday.

2/C SAD Henry Hermanson left on Friday for Newport, R.I., after spending a two week’s leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Hermanson.

Mrs. Will Hall and son, Orville, of Medford visited at the Floyd Buchanan home on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Frane visited on Sunday with their baby daughter, who is a patient at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield.

Mrs. Henry Peterson returned home from Sheboygan the latter part of the week after a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Mike Novak, and family. Her two grand daughters returned with her for a visit.
