Engel, Dale W. (2 JUN 1918 - 6 NOV 1940)

Dale Woodrow Engel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Engel of the Town of Sherman, passed away on Wednesday, November 6th at the home of his parents of diabetic complications after an illness of five years.

The deceased born June 2, 1918, had lived with his parents all of his life. For several years he had operated a cow trucking route in his home community.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 9th from the home at 1:30 P. M. and from the Spencer Methodist Church at 2:00 P. M. Interment as made in the Spencer cemetery, Rev. Penn, Marshfield, officiating.

He is survived by his parents, two brothers, Nomman Engel of Sugar Bush and Marvin Engel of Spencer, Wis. Also a nephew, Ray engel, of Bancroft.

Pall bearers were: Vernal Haslow, Herman Schultz, Carl Schoolman, Harold Prechel, Darald Jensen ands Ray Oelrich.

Flower girls were Lorraine Prechel, Evelyn Prechel, Charlotte Bombard, Jeanette Luther, Lorraine Peterson and Rhoda Buse.

Shartman, Chicago; Mrs. Walter Golla, and Ray Engel, Bancroft; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Leisinger, Ernest Riske, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Gabrielson and daughters Marcella and Margaret, Mr. Fred Gabrielson, Mrs. Chris Nelson, Mrs. C. Gabrielson, Mrs. Fred Smith, Mrs. Alfred Olsen, Mrs. Harold Winters, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Barden, Mrs. James Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Peterson, Mr. Perry Jensen, Mr. Donald Jensen, Waupaca, and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Pecard, of Lena.
