Smith, Mary M. (9 NOV 1940)

With Father Charles Brady reading the wedding service, Miss Mary M. Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Smith of 317 Belmont Av., Oneida, N.Y., became the bride of Charles Scheuerman, son of Mrs. Alois Scheuerman of Greenwood, at a beautiful wedding performed in the Sacred Heart Church at Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), Saturday, Nov. 9, 1940.

The bride was beautifully attired in a velvet wine colored gown with matching accessories and wore a corsage of gardenias. Her bridesmaid, Miss Eleanore Poppe, wore a dress of gray and rose with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of roses and gardenias.

The groom was attended by Bernard Poppe.

Following the service a dinner and reception was held at the home of the groom, which was appropriately decorated with pink and white streamers. The dinner table had a large wedding cake ornated by a miniature bride and groom atop it as a centerpiece.

Mr. and Mrs. Scheuerman will make their home on the farm of the groom located on route four, Greenwood, Wisconsin.
