Hunt, Ida Mae (16 Sept. 1873 - 13 Sept. 1945)

Mrs. Alfred D. Hunt died last Thursday at 5:15 P.M. at the home of her son, Frank, in Colby at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 28 days of acute cardiac decompensation of three days duration. Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 16, on the deceased’s 72nd birthday anniversary, at the Little White Church at Dorchester, Rev. V. Miller officiating, and internment was made in the Memorial Cemetery, Dorchester, Wis. Pall bearers were Arthur Hermann, Raymond Krackenberger, Maurice Sorenson, Lloyd Sorenson, Dr. A. W. Scheif and Louis Wigstadt, all of Dorchester, Wis. Grand children were in charge of the flowers.

Mrs. Hunt, nee Ida Mae Winchell, was born on Sept. 16th, 1873, at Omro, Wisconsin, and moved to Dorchester when a child. She was married to Alfred DeWitt Hunt at Dorchester on June 5th, 1894. They lived at Dorchester until six years ago when they moved to Abbotsford to be near their daughter, Mrs. Chas. V. Hinke.

Surviving besides her husband are five daughters and one son - Mrs. Charles (Ethel) Hinke of Abbotsford, Mrs. William (Hazel) Kleckner of Milwaukee, Mrs. Lester (Irma) Loppnow of Thiensville, Mrs. Gustav (Mina) Schroeder of Wausau, Mrs. Frank (Anita) Douglas of Milwaukee and Frank Hunt of Colby, Wis. There are 15 grand children and two great grand children. A son and daughter preceded her in death. Also surviving are three brothers, Joel and Dell Winchell, both of Dorchester, and Dwight Winchell of Valparaiso, Ind., and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Will of Calumet, Minn., and Mrs. Ada Kayhart of Marshfield.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Loppnow and family of Thiensville, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kleckner and Sallay and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Douglas of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Schroeder and family of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Will of Calumet, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Kayhart of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Howard and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Howard of Weyauwega.
