Arloween Verch

Arloween J. Verch, 74, C1899 Balsam Road, Stratford, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Saint Joseph's Palliative Care, Marshfield, where she had been admitted Feb. 23, 2006.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford. The Rev. Sue Eidahl will officiate and burial will take place in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stratford.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Sauter/Kundinger Funeral Home and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at Zion Lutheran Church.

Arloween was born Jan. 9, 1932, in Marshfield to Nick and Helen (Gropp) Eckes. She attended St. John's Parochial School, Marshfield. She married Ellsworth C. Verch on Dec. 3, 1951, in Neillsville and they were married for 54 years.

She is survived by her husband, Ellsworth; three sons and one daughter, Michael (Judith) Verch, of Marshfield, Mary (Bob) Kopitar, of Stratford, Bill Verch, of Marshfield and Jack (Joyce) Verch, Pennock, Minn. Arloween also is survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by one brother and two sisiters, James (Audrey) Eckes, Marlene "Molly" (Bob) Kohlbeck and Barbara (Ron) Scheibe, all of Marshfield.

She was predeceased by her parents, a son James Robert, and three sisters, Geraldine Weiler, Luella Wolf and Georgetta Warley.
