Wucherpfenig, Rose B. (Marriage - 23 June 1945)

Miss Rose B. Wucherpfenig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Wucherpfenig of Colby, and Ralph Andrew, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Andrew of Colby, were united in marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic church Saturday morning, June 23rd, at 9:00 o’clock.

The bride was attired in a gown of white satin with fitted bodice, three-fourths length sleeves, entrained skirt with lace butterfly inserts, ninon skirt over satin. Her bouquet consisted of pink and white carnations. Mrs. Elmer Schmidt, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore a blue satin dress with fitted satin and blue ninon skirt over satin and bonnet to match. Her shoulder corsage consisted of white and pink carnations. Miss Helen Andrew, the groom’s sister, was bridesmaid and wore a dress similar to the maid of honor’s with a similar corsage.

The groom was attended by Elmer Schmidt and William Martens.

A wedding reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with pink and white streamers and a large wedding bell.

The newlyweds made a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin and will be at home after July 1st on the groom’s farm.
