Leonhardt, Fredericka (30 July 1861 - 21 Dec. 1944)

Mrs. Fred Leonhardt of Abbotsford died of old age complications last Thursday morning at 9:10 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Gokey, at the age of 83 years. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Zink Funeral Home and at 2:00 o’clock at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran church, Rev. John Brandt officiating. Internment was made in the Dorchester cemetery.

Mrs. Leonhardt, the former Fredericka Martens, was born in Germany July 30, 1861, and was married in Centerville, Wis., April 29, 1880 to Fred Leonhardt, who preceded her in death. She spent 40 years on a farm near Dorchester and 24 years in Abbotsford, Wis.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Henry (Ida) Jacobi, Mrs. Oscar (Lena) Laack, Mrs. Edwin (Clara) Jacobi, Mrs. Vane (Martha) Gokey, and Fred Leonhardt, all of Abbotsford, 16 grand children, and 12 great grand children. Two daughters and three brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.
