Wieland, Albert #2 (30 Jan. 1879 - 7 Aug. 1944)

Albert Wieland, janitor of the Unity school at Unity, Wis., died on Monday at the age of 65 years, an obstruction of the bowels being the cause of his death. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Wieland residence in Unity and at 2:00 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity, Rev. Arthur Almquist officiating, and internment will be made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Wieland was born in Germany Jan. 30th, 1879, and came to the United States when a small boy. They lived at Spencer for a short time and then moved onto a farm west of Unity, Wis. After his marriage to Tina Ewald in June, 1902, in the town of Unity, he lived with his wife on a farm one mile west of Unity, Wis. Several years later they moved to the village of Unity, Wis. Mr. Wieland underwent a major operation at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital on Oct. 16, 1943, and at that time was in the hospital for six weeks.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Lawrence of the state of Washington and Raymond of the town of Unity; two grand children; his father, Ferdinand Wieland, age 94, of Oregon City, Ore.; and six brothers and sisters - Mrs. Ed (Bertha) Johnson and Walter Wieland, both of Unity, Mrs. F. (Mary) Hopp and Charles Wieland, both of Oregon City, Ore., Mrs. Adolph (Minnie) Lulloff of Dodgeville and Mrs. August (Annie) Wellman of Antioch, Ill. A brother, Hermann, preceded him in death.
