Ladwig, Luella (Marriage - 14 June 1941)

Miss Luella Ladwig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ladwig, and Mr. Arnold Krauter, son of Mrs. Anna Krauter, were united in marriage at Zion Ev. Lutheran church Saturday, June 14th, at 3:00 P.M., Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. Clara Ladwig was maid of honor and Caroline Krauter and Mrs. Walter Anderson were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Walter Krauter, John Ladwig and Walter Anderson.

The bride was attired in a becoming dress of white marquisette with chantilly lace yoke and bodice, full bishop sleeves, long train, silk bridal illusion veil, chantilly pattern lace border with tiara of glowing simulated pearls and was orange blossoms. She also wore a locket, a gift of the groom. Her bouquet consisted of white calla lilies. Clara Ladwig wore a dress of pink sheer silk ninon with fingertip veil of pink, Caroline Krauter a blue silk ninon dress with fingertip veil of blue. All of the bride’s attendants wore a locket, gifts of the bride. Clara Ladwig’s bouquet consisted of deep pink and white carnations, Caroline Krauter’s consisted of orange and white carnations and Mrs. Anderson’s consisted of orange and white carnations.

A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with pink and white streamers, a large wedding bell and a three-tier wedding cake.

The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin and will be at home after June 22 at the farm home of the groom’s mother, Marshfield, R. 4.
