Hansen, Mrs. Holger (? - 5 JUL 1939)

Friends at Owen and Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) and vicinity were shocked yesterday when they learned of the passing away of their dear friends, Mrs. Holger Hansen of Minneapolis. Immediate friends of Mrs. Hansen knew that she had been ill the past month due to heart trouble but had no idea that it was as serious as it was. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen were former residents of Owen and Withee, Wis. For years he was employed in the Griebenow-Weirich hardware store. Later they moved to Duluth where Mrs. Hansen was stricken with tuberculosis. For years she was confined to a Sanatorium where she received treatment, which she finally responded to. The past two years she had been in good health considering her previous ailment and was enjoying life living with her family in their home in Mineapolis.

Funeral services are being held in Minneapolis this evening, after which the body will be taken to her home at Duluth where final rites will be held Friday.

She leaves to mourn her sudden departure, her husband and two children, Phyllis Mae, 14 and Donald, 12, besides a host of friends who cherished her friendship because of her kind and pleasant ways. She was a woman of great patience and despite her long illness she rarely complained but kept up constant faith that her prayers would be answered and that her recovery would be speedy. She was rewarded for her faith by being able to enjoy the last two years of her life as she had always planned.
