At an eleven o’clock ceremony performed by Judge Schoengarth at the Clark County Courthouse on June 17th, 1939, Miss Hattie Kowalski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kowalski of Lublin, and Rudolph Potocnik, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Potocnik of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), were joined in wedlock. The witnesses to the ceremony were William Potocnik and Mary Kowalski, and Carol Potocnik and Mary Potocnik. The bride was attired in a gown sheer with satin shoulder veil and a flower headband, all in white. She carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaids wore yellow net and peach sheer dresses and carried red roses and forget-me-nots. The groom wore an oxford grey suit.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents where a dance and festivities continued throughout the day and evening. The couple will reside on a farm near Owen on their return from a honeymoon spent in Milwaukee and Wis. Dells.

The out of town guests at the wedding were: Miss Mary Kowalski, Miss Regina Karakula, Mence Kroll and Miss Agnes Skrzypczak of Chicago; Miss Mary Potocnik, Mike Kowalski, John Mare of Milwaukee; Emil Potocnik of Fifield, Wis., Tony Potocnik of Dorchester, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. John Potocnik and Mr. and Mrs. John Potocnik Jr. of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Klabon and family of Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Johnson of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. V. Hirsch of Medford, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Moore of Curtiss, Wis.
